There is a feeling about Frenchtown, different from the other towns along the Delaware River.
It is at once sleepy, charming, artsy and - hip? Sometimes - whenever the bikers and bicyclists and sportscar guys converge on weekends to ride and hang-out, they grab a bite at places like Greco's, the Bridge Cafe and the Frenchtown Cafe. It lives for the energy expended by its visitors, looking as though it's about to "happen" at any moment. Yet, the swell always recedes when they move on, like the rise and fall of the river.
